History

‘Phase One’ of the building of the village hall started in  1976 and included the community room, bar, kitchen, skittle alley, toilets and changing rooms. ‘Phase Two’ – the large hall with stage – was completed five years later in 1981.
Over time, and as funds allowed, the car park was surfaced, and changing rooms improved.
In 1998 they were further enlarged to comply with stricter rules in amateur football.
Today the hall remains a focal point of the village and is used for a wide range of events, from beer festivals to toddler playgroups.
It is run by a committee that is always after new members!
